The Lady Hornets were swept in three sets, as the defending Region 2 champion Lady Mavericks looked strong and poised to make a return to the state championships in Murfreesboro next week. Anderson County went ahead 3-1 early in the first set, before jumping out to a 14-7 lead and forcing a Carter timeout. BY BRIAN HAMILTON The William Blount Lady Govs defeated Christian Academy of Knoxville in two sets, winning 25-14 and 25-16 over the Lady Warriors on Tuesday night. The Lady Governors (1-2) lost their first two matches of the season to Knoxville Catholic and Cleveland on Monday, but used fiery starts to jump out on the Lady Warriors.
