BY BRIAN HAMILTON ERWIN – Cosby fell to 0-2 Friday night, as Unicoi County blew out the Eagles 44-0 behind four touchdowns combined from Nehemiah Edwards and Caleb Pelaez. Palaez had an 11-yard touchdown run and also returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown. The route was on early, as Edwards went 59 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage. Cosby opens season with loss for first time since 2018

BY BRIAN HAMILTON SUNBRIGHT – The Cosby Eagles traveled to Sunbright on Friday night to face the Tigers. Cosby fell into an early deficit and trailed 35-12 at halftime. The Eagles played much better in the second half, but were unable to make up any of the deficit, falling 53-24. Quarterback Tyler Turner led Cosby with 181 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground, while throwing for 70 yards on 7-of-8 completions.
