The last two teams to defeat NVA and deny them a shot at state were Anderson County and Gibbs, who are both now in Class 3A. The Lady Lions won the first set 25-20, then lost the second set 25-22, and took the third set 25-19 to win the first game of the tri-match. BY BRIAN HAMILTON SEYMOUR – The Lady Eagles responded with a win after each defeat Monday evening, but Seymour was just unable to must up enough plays to send them to the regional final, as Gibbs won the final set 15-4 and took the match 3-2, ending the Lady Eagles’ season.
