The Patriots used its vaunted running game to move the chains and chew up clock, handing Maryville its first home playoff loss since 1999, when the Rebels fell to Knox Central. Seymour season ends at Anderson County 39-21
BY BRIAN HAMILTON CLINTON – Seymour saw its season come to an end on Friday night at Anderson County. The Eagles held a 21-14 lead midway through the third quarter, but was unable to score in the second half, as the Mavericks scored 25 unanswered to win 39-21. Anderson County received the opening kick and drove 65 yards to paydirt, as Cody Miller found Walker Martinez for a 28-yard touchdown with seven minutes left in the first quarter.
